HOW TO USE-Using our hemming foot attachment is quick and easy. First, select the appropriate size hemming foot for your project. Next, loosen the needle plate screw on your sewing machine and attach the hemming foot. Once attached, fold the fabric edge over the hemming foot and begin sewing.

Note: This hemmer attachment is for home and commercial use. To confirm this hemmer attachment will work on your machine, make sure there is one hole in the needle plate.

I've never used one of these before so I can't really compare it to others. I've been folding, pinning and ironing. This is sooooo much easier. It attached easily enough to the Singer machine that was passed down from my grandmother. It's probably 40 years old but I'm pretty sure new machines are the same. The design looks complex but it works really well. Material slides in and folds over and is ready to be sewn. It's not hard to use once you get it started.

This my first hemmer foot that I have used. I have always used the folded, pinned and ironed method so I was a little nervous to use this one. It took a little bit to get used to using the foot, but once you get the hang of it - it is a fast way to hem your sewing projects. I am going to try to hem my drapes the next sewing project!
